ADMISSION TESTS
There are two college admission tests: the ACT and the SAT. It is the student’s responsibility to become aware of the entrance requirements set forth by the college the student plans to attend. The ACT is composed of four sections: English Language Arts, Math, Reading, and Science Reasoning. The maximum score on each section is 36. The composite score is the average score of these four sections. The registration fee for the ACT exam is $29.00. ACT has also added a PlusWriting section. Students choosing to take the PlusWriting Section will pay an additional $14.00 for this option. An additional fee of $16.00 is added for registering after the registration deadline. Denham Springs High School is an ACT Test Center. DSHS students need to register early to increase the likelihood of receiving their 1st choice test center! The SAT I is made up of two
sections: Verbal Reasoning and Mathematical Reasoning. Each section
